Home / about kaya

I am of the Gunn clan (far North East of Scotland- though I never lived that far North). I like to think I am of Viking descent. I am at home in really wild places. The sea and beaches in Devon sustain me while I’m here. (I’m planning my escape to the Arctic Circle or perhaps New Zealand.)
I have two wondrous children who are very strict with me, so that I know how to behave myself in public. (I think.)

Painting is the Easy Way (in and out); the line of least resistance. The place where inner and outer meet- briefly glancingly nebulously. It’s where I am when I think no-one is looking.
I love paint; I want to dive into it and Dance Endlessly in the movements and colours possible there. But sometimes I have to come up for air.
Painting is where I meet All of who I AM; a doorway to all of Creation; the merest tip of the Iceberg.”
